International Financial Law Review (IFLR) and Asialaw have named Latham & Watkins "International Capital Markets Team of the Year" at the 2012 IFLR / Asialaw India Awards. Latham has won this accolade every year since the inaugural awards in 2010. The award recognizes Latham as the preeminent firm advising on international capital markets in India, representing both issuers and underwriters in some of the largest and most significant deals in the Indian market.
The practice was honored for its work over the past 12 months, including the following deals: advising Vedanta Resources on its US$1.65 billion bond offering; advising the underwriters in connection with ICICI Bank’s US$1 billion bond offering; advising MakeMyTrip on its US$125.8 million follow-on offering; and advising the managers on Apollo Hospitals US$74 million follow-on Indian offering.
